Angel Food Ministry
Leader: Pat Morrison

Trinity Southern Baptist Church in Versailles has become a host church for the Angel Food Ministry. Below is some information, including some that came from their website at www.angelfoodministries.com

Blessings by the box: Angel Food's groceries are sold in quantity that can fit into a medium size box at $30 per unit (or menu). Each month's menu is different than the previous month and consists of both fresh and frozen items with an average retail value of approximately $50. (You need to bring your own box to put the food in.) Comparison shopping has been done across the country in various communities using a wide range of retail grocery stores and has resulted in the same food items costing from between $42 and $78.

Generally, one unit of food assists in feeding a family of four for one week or a single senior citizen for almost a month. The food is the same high quality one would purchase at a grocery store. There are no second-hand items or out-dated goods, no dented cans without labels, no day-old breads and no produce that is almost too ripe.

One of more "Specials" are now available without the purchase of a regular unit.

There are no applications to complete or qualifications to which participants must adhere. Angel Food Ministries, like most all other retail stores, also participates in the U.S. Food Stamp program, using the Off-Line Food Stamp Voucher System.

How the program works:  Food sales and distribution are handled by church host sites.  Orders and payments are collected by the host sites during the first part of each month. Approximately 2 weeks later, (the dates are pre-set by Angel Food Ministry) in the same month, the food is delivered to the host church and is distributed at the host site on the delivery date to those who have placed prepaid orders. Trinity Southern Baptist Church is located at 13537 Church Rd in Versailles, Mo. 65084. Trinity does not have space avaliable to hold orders past the distribution time so if you cannot personally pick up your food you must send someone in your place to pick it up. Food not picked up during the distribution time will not be held over and can be resold or given away, no refunds will be issued.

For more information you may contact Pat Morrison at 573 378-5517 or by email at patm22357@wmconnect.com or Trinity SBC at 573 378-6175. If you are mailing in your order you must include your check or money order for your total order and it must be received by the cutoff date. Checks should be made payable to Trinity Southern Baptist Church. Check & order form can be mailed to Angel Food Ministry, P O Box 41, Gravois Mills, Mo 65037
